The Magic of the Natural World: Seasonal Concert Announcement
Come and rediscover the magic of the natural world with Cantala during our winter seasonal concert, Saturday December 7th at 7pm. It will feature parts from a larger work called Lost words: A Spell book, which features one poet (Robert Macfarlane), ten composers (many of our Canadian favorites!) and twenty choral compositions.

Carnegie Hall here we come!
We are over the moon about our upcoming tour to NYC to perform our debut recital at Carnegie Hall. It will take place in Weill Recital hall, an intimate hall that is perfect for small ensembles like Cantala. Mark your calendar-the recital is on Friday April 11, 2025. Tickets are available online through the Carnegie Hall website.
Cantala 101: What is rehearsal like?
Cantala gathers at Forest Hill United Church (2 Wembley road) on Monday evenings. Many people arrive early (6:30pm) to chat, have a bite to eat or practise. The vibes are fun and focused-people are ready to sing and work hard. There is an exciting energy in the air-let’s get singing. Book your audition today.

Looking to Spring with Cantala!
Some of us in Canada are looking to Spring….and others of us are still looking for winter! Whatever your perspective is, by May 25th the sun and warmth should have come to Toronto . We are preparing for our recital at Roy Thomson Hall; an opportunity that we have had postponsed since May 2020. We couldn’t be any more excited.

However, we have now presented that work recently and made an outstanding recording of the work with Canadian legend Harpist Erica Goodman, so what could be next to rival that work?
