NANCY SINGLA, Cantala’s founder and artistic director, is currently teaching high school music for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Nancy continues to be the music director at Forest Hill United Church. She completed her Master’s in Music degree from the University of Toronto and Undergraduate studies in vocal and piano performance at the University of Victoria. She also holds an Associate diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Most recently, Nancy completed her Master’s in Teaching (MT) degree from the Ontario Institute for Secondary Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. She currently lives in West Toronto with her husband Anu and their two children, Paul and Maya, a cat (Eli) and a fluffle of bunnies: Bear, Roo, Bigz & Delilah.
