Mission Statement
Cantala Choir brings people together through the transformative power of choral music. We are committed to creating an equitable, inclusive, and diverse choral community where singers, composers, audiences, alumni, and collaborators can share a love of music and experience the joy of artistic excellence.
We strive to be recognized for high-calibre choral music, presenting inspiring concerts and high-quality recordings that celebrate the achievements of our singers and share Cantala’s music with audiences both in person and online. Through live-streamed performances, social media, and meaningful community engagement, we seek to broaden our reach and build a vibrant audience for choral music.
Cantala is committed to nurturing Canadian choral music, supporting Canadian composers and creating opportunities for new and collaborative musical projects. We seek partnerships with choirs and musical organizations in Toronto and beyond, extending our community through shared artistic experiences.
We will sustain and grow Cantala by welcoming new members, engaging our alumni, developing strong and diverse leadership, and building partnerships with foundations and granting organizations. Through these efforts, we aim to create new opportunities, strengthen our organization, and ensure that Cantala’s love of choral music continues to resonate for generations to come.
