I never would have dreamed 10 years ago when I founded the Cantala Women’s Choir that I would take my choir to New York city for a musical adventure, but it’s becoming a reality. And to my delight we are going to be singing at Lincoln Center with Eric Whitacre, a composer that I have enjoyed tremendously over the years.

Cantala is celebrating its 10th season next year and we are going to celebrate with Distinguished concerts International of New York (DCINY).  DCINY is a leading concert producer in New York, providing opportunities for singers and instrumentalists to perform in the most prestigious concert halls.

Cantala will be joining DCINY and singers from around the world to share in the honor of singing under the baton of today’s most celebrated choral composer.  Eric Whitacre makes his triumphant return to David Geffen Hall (formerly Avery Fisher Hall), Lincoln Center as part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) Concert series, described by the BBC Music as the “#1 North American Live Event Choice” for classical music.

Cantala has performed his beautiful work for women’s voices Five Hebrew Love Songs. His music is lyrical, ethearal, challenging and rewarding. We are looking forward to this opportunity! Cantala will also be presenting her own recital in New York in addition to performing with Eric Whitacre. Come and join us, celebrate our 10th anniversary season!
