2018 Debut Album has launched!
The Cantala Women’s choir has officially launched its debut album. A butterfly has finally emerged from its cocoon!
Many years in the making, it has taken several voices, hands, minds and donors to create this album. Now available in cd format on amazon and digitally on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube and Amazon, among others. This debut album features Rachmaninoff’s Six Choral songs, op. 15, Miklos Kochsar’s Salve Regina, Veijo Tormis’ Laululiku lapsepoli, Samuel Barber’s To be Sung on the Water and Eleanor Daley’s Rise Up My Love among others.
Thank you to all the Cantala Singers who gave so much of their time and voice to record this music endlessly, Asal Iranmehr, pianist, Konrad Skreta, sound engineer, Forest Hill United Church, the Ontario Arts Council and private donors that have contributed to making this project a reality. Thank you from all of us on the Cantala Board, and myself, Nancy Singla.
